Poor puppy is emaciated and suffers from a tumor that drains him of all his vitality.
One night in Santa Barbara this puppy was reported to us. He has a giant tumor on his back. He was in a state of severe malnutrition, ticks and much more. His body is emaciated because the tumor drains all his vitality. His physical and mental exhaustion left him unable to stand. However, his face was always full of hope.
Now it is in our hands. We gave him a pill to get rid of all the ticks. Their levels are too low to operate at this time. We are going to start his recovery so we can operate on him later. Quasito (his new name) improves every day. We are giving him food 3 times a day and vitamins daily.
Hopefully we can operate it as quickly as possible. He is always in excellent spirits and eats very well. His health is now good enough for the operation. We’re on our way to the vet. Tomorrow is our Quasito’s surgery. Luckily, the tumor is superficial and does not touch any organs. The vet is doing some tests to prepare for tomorrow.
Quasito’s Surgery was a complete success. The tumor weighing 10 pounds was removed. Our baby, a warrior, has already woken up and is fine. He receives daily wound care from him to ensure it does not become infected. He was discharged and returned to our house. Quasito’s spirit began to shine brighter with each passing day. Almost full of life, our baby is getting better every day.
His once emaciated body began to gain some weight. Every day is getting better, the wound is now completely healed. She is gaining weight and we are treating her hemoglobin. Her heart, once heavy with despair, was now filled with love and gratitude. Quasito had found her forever home with us.
