A couple with a 37-year age gap have revealed they are expecting a child together.
Cheryl, 63, and Quran McCain, 26, bonded over their mutual love for TikTok – where they now have millions of followers.
The pair, from the US, tied the knot in 2021 and say they are madly in love. They feel connected on multiple levels and say they have ‘amazing’ chemistry… in and out of the bedroom.
While the pair are blissfully married, they’ve felt incomplete without one thing – a baby.
And now, their dreams have come true, as they’ve taken to social media and shared a heartfelt announcement.
Although Cheryl and Quran barely notice their age gap, the same can’t be said for their followers – who cruelly troll them on occasion.
In an interview with Truly, Quran said: “Some of the backlash I’ve received, they say I’m dating my grandmother, they say she can never bear children from you.”
Cheryl, who has seven children from a past relationship, weighed in: “People need to get a life and stop trying to take away mine from me.”
Discussing the online abuse, Cheryl told Love Don’t Judge: “They make me cry, I can’t handle some of it. A lot of the stuff is so hurtful, my self-esteem, everything. It’s not a good feeling at all.
“I’m trying to spread positivity – like a lot of kids love us and stuff. You can’t spread positivity when there’s negativity attacking you back to back.”
Cheryl and Quran are trying their best to ignore the hate and focus on the one thing they want most, starting a family together.
They’ve previously had setbacks when it comes to having a baby.
The couple, who started their surrogacy journey in 2022, announced to fans last year that a woman had called it quits on carrying their child, per MailOnline.
She allegedly ‘breached their contract’ by having unprotected s** with her partner during the process.
Quran claimed to NeedToKnow.co.uk: “At the moment, it does feel like people are reaching out to us for the wrong reasons.
“We’re completely broke. We don’t get paid for our content. And then the surrogate goes and bleeds us dry.”
Quran would allege he and Cheryl had even expensed the unnamed woman’s food and travel, as well as contributing to her Christmas funds.
“We wanted her to be happy as she was giving us the gift we’ve always wanted,” he explained.
But finally, Cheryl and Quran have made the announcement fans have been waiting for.
The couple took to TikTok on May 9 and revealed their surrogacy’s pregnancy test was positive.
Quran can be seen crying in a clip from the doctor’s appointment, as he says: “I’m gonna be a father.”
People have taken to the comments and congratulated the pair on the wonderful news, with one follower writing: “Congratulations, don’t listen to the haters. Happy for the both of you.”
Another adds: “I’m so excited for y’all!”
Somebody else comments: “Congratulations to you both, a baby is a true blessing.”
