Family Saves Bobcat From Forest Fire And They Have Bonded!

Unfortunately, a very large section of the United States had been badly affected by forest fires in the past decade. All the way from California to Tennessee, Oregon to Arizona, literally millions of people have endured the wrath of raging forest fires. Sadly, it’s not just the humans who are displaced, endangered or killed due to the flames – wildlife is also at risk.

George Kraus stumbled upon two frightened, exhausted beings – a wildcat and a fawn – who were struggling desperately to find their breath in the smoke. Being an avid animal rescuer, George immediately took the pair home and nursed them back to health.

It wasn’t long at all before the two integrated with the other pets within the home and worked their way into everyone’s hearts. After months of earning each other’s trust, the bobcat, who they named Benji started snuggling, playing with toys and enjoying catnaps on the family’s furniture just like a house cat!

Even though Benji is nearly a house pet now and has been in the family for years, unless you’re an experienced animal rescuer like George, it’s imperative to get the proper animal rescue team to pick up wild creatures as soon as possible. These particular people – just got lucky.

Take a peek at this incredible bond for yourself in the clip below. This is NOT something you should try at home!
