Eva Evans has died aged just 29.
TikTok star Eva Evans was best known for having directed and starred in the Amazon Prime TV series Club Rat.
She had a strong social media following, with almost 30,000 followers on Instagram.
But now, Evans’ sister has announced the rising star has died aged just 29.
Eva’s collaborative creation, Club Rat, made its debut in 2023 as a five-episode series streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
In this production, she not only co-wrote but also directed.
Within the story, Eva plays the role of an influencer navigating the treacherous waters of dating in New York City.
Her character finds herself thrust back into the dating scene after a video of her breakup goes viral.
On social media, Eva chronicled her real life, including filming a video about an actual breakup she went through in early March following an almost two-year relationship.
Evans’ career saw notable collaborations with major brands such as Dior, Gucci, Nike, and Apple, and she even worked with celebrities like Miley Cyrus.
She’d posted on her Instagram as recently as four days ago, showing herself riding the NYC subway.
On April 21, Eva’s sister Lila announced the news of her death in a post on Instagram featuring a photo of Eva.
“Please share this post so that it reaches everyone it needs to,” Lila writes.
“Yesterday my family received news that our sweet, fabulous, creative, caring, hilarious Eva, my beautiful sister, has died. after 24 hours, I still find myself in a constant cycle of denial and acceptance, so I know how unbelievable and hard to process this news will be.”
She adds: “We will be holding a celebration of Eva this coming Tuesday, 4/23, in the evening in lower Manhattan. Please DM me so I can get a headcount and will share the details.”
“I wish I had Eva here now to refer to because she would have better words and know how to say what I don’t,” Lila continues.
“I am keeping this brief, so we can plan for the next few days, but you’ll be hearing a lot more from me on how much Eva means to me and just how different the world will be without her.”
She then concludes her caption: “All my love, Lila.”
The sisters’ mom, Heather Evans, shared Lila’s post.
Tributes have begun to pour in for Evans, with Julia Fox also reposting Lila’s Instagram announcement on her Instagram Stories.
She pens: “I can’t believe this. RIP @ITSEVAEVANS I’m going to miss you so much. Thank you for sharing so much of your light with us.”
“Rest in peace, angel Eva, you were always kind to me when others couldn’t be bothered. Will never forget that kindness,” The Hills star Lo Bosworth commented under Evans’ last Instagram post.
Per Hello: “NYU Stern Professor Suzy Welch described Eva’s loss as ‘unfathomable’, not only to those who knew her but also to the broader world that was enriched by her presence.”
Per E! News, Eva is survived by her sisters Lila, Zoe and Sofi, and her mother Heather.
Evans’ father, artist Matt Baumgardner, previously died in 2018 at the age of 63.
The cause of Eva’s death has not been released at this time.
