In Hungary, a baby boy named Benz was born weighing almost five kilograms. He was healthy but had a very unusual feature—he was born with completely gray hair!
Doctors did many tests but couldn’t find out why Benz had gray hair. It wasn’t albinism, as they first thought.
Benz is the third child in his family, and his older siblings don’t have this feature.
The doctors next thought that maybe the mother was very stressed during pregnancy, which could have caused the baby to be born with gray hair.
But the mother says her pregnancy was very calm with no worries or stress at all.
Scientists think that having blond hair in children is often due to genetics. In Benz’s case, the gray hair might be caused by a lack of vitamin B12 or a change in his hair cells.
Now, Benz is a bit of a local celebrity and is called the “Charming Prince” in his hometown.
